What are EAAs?

Proteins consist of amino acids. These amino acids are like the building blocks of a house from which our body is built. Some amino acids are formed by the body itself, but others are not. These are called EAA (EAA = essential amino acids). Essential amino acids (tryptophan, phenylalanine, leucine, lysine, valine, isoleucine, threonine, methionine) must be taken in with food. The more essential amino acids a food contains, the higher the quality of the protein.

What are BCAAs?

BCAAs are branched-chain amino acids (abbreviated BCAA for Branched-Chain Amino Acids). These are the amino acids leucine, valine and isoleucine. BCAA are part of the essential amino acids, which cannot be formed by the body itself. They must be supplied through food (meat, fish, etc.).

What are the 8 essential amino acids?

The eight essential amino acids (EAA) are tryptophan, phenylalanine, leucine, lysine, valine, isoleucine, threonine, methionine.
